Mirka Pad Saver for 70x400mm backing pads. Mirka's pad savers are designed to protect the backing pad from wear and tear, when sanding aggressively and continuously with net products. These cost effective pad savers, placed between the backing pad and the sanding strips, should be changed regularly. The pad savers prolong the life of the backing pad.

Only used the for hand sanding a 1/2 round moulding attached to a flat base, it worked well on what’s a simple but common sanding job.
It’t really come to the test when I sand ogee’s or shouldered quad to see whether it preserves the sharp corners or if I’ll still need to use a variety of backing blocks & fingers to keep the moulding shape intact
Still I haven’t come across anything better & it’s pretty affordable for what i does

Mirka AROS-B is a sensational sander that will save untold time and effort!
I spend hours on manually sanding the curves in the depressions I route in my charcuterie boards as there's just no other way to do it, using the AROS-B sander I can now do a full board in around 20 minutes and then have it ready to oil! I estimate it's saving me at least 3-4 hours per board.
Expensive tool but it reall works fantastic with a lot of grunt, and saves an incredible amount of time and effort! I love it so much a week later I bought the AOS-B as well!
Couldn't recommend this unique sander highly enough for fiddly awkward sanding jobs!
I received my mixed box of 125mm Mirka Galaxy discs from Best Abrasives a little while ago...that stuff is amazing!
I let the 80 grit go on a piece of rough sawn Camphor Laurel and it was smooth in a couple of minutes. Very impressive compared to other brands...I'll be back for more! 🙂
