Refund policy

At Mirka Australia Pty Ltd (Best Abrasives), we stand behind the quality of all Mirka power tools, abrasives, and accessories. If something isn’t right, we are committed to resolving the issue quickly, fairly, and in accordance with Australian Consumer Law (ACL). 

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law 

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to: 

  • a replacement or refund for a major failure; and 

  • compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. 

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. 

These rights apply independently of, and may extend beyond, any timeframes outlined in this policy. 

Faulty or Defective Products 

If your item is faulty, defective, or not as described, you are entitled to: 

  • Repair 

  • Replacement 

  • Refund 

Mirka Australia (Best Abrasives) will: 

  • Cover reasonable return shipping costs for faulty or incorrect products 

  • Provide a prepaid return label where appropriate 

Change of Mind Returns 

We offer a change-of-mind return policy as a goodwill gesture, subject to the following conditions: 

  • Requests must be made within 30 days of purchase 

  • Items must be unused, unopened, and in original condition 

  • Return shipping is at the customer’s expense 

  • Refunds exclude original shipping costs 

Change-of-mind returns are not a right under the ACL and are offered at our discretion. 

Proof of Purchase 

A valid proof of purchase (such as a tax invoice or receipt) is required for all returns, exchanges, or warranty claims. 

How to Request a Return 

  1. Submit a Request 
    Complete our Return Form to begin the process. 

  1. Assessment 
    Our team will assess your request and provide instructions. 

  1. Return Instructions 
    If required, we will provide return details and a shipping label (for eligible faulty returns). 

Note: This process is designed to assist with handling returns efficiently and does not limit your rights under the ACL. 

Returning Your Item 

  • Please package items securely to prevent damage in transit
  • Where possible, include original packaging, accessories, and documentation
  • We recommend using a tracked shipping service for change-of-mind returns 

If returning faulty goods and the item cannot be easily shipped, we will arrange collection where required under the ACL. 

Refunds 

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method or via bank transfer to a nominated account. Store credit may be provided if agreed by the customer
  • For faulty goods, refunds will include any applicable delivery costs
  • For change-of-mind returns, original shipping costs are not refunded 

Important Notes 

  • This policy operates alongside your rights under Australian Consumer Law
  • Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify your legal rights
