The Dust Shroud for the Mirka® DEROS RS is engineered to optimize dust collection, and it’s designed to effectively channel dust away from the work surface and into the dust extraction system, thus ensuring a cleaner work environment.

For optimal dust collection, especially when using coarse abrasives, it is highly recommended to use the Mirka dust shroud in combination with the pad saver or interface. The importance of the dust shroud is accentuated when the height of the machine is increased. Using the Mirka pad saver and dust shroud together enhances the overall performance of your sanding tasks by effectively managing dust and debris. This not only keeps your workspace cleaner but also extends the life of your sander.

To mount the dust shroud, first locate the rotating arrows on both the dust shroud and the housing of your sander. Align the arrows carefully. As you stretch the dust shroud into place, take care to keep the arrows aligned. This ensures that the dust shroud is properly attached and ready to use.
