What is Iridium SR 32mm PSA designed for?
A premium abrasive disc for final-stage sanding in automotive refinishing, collision repair, and transport/vehicle manufacturing.
What advantages does Iridium SR provide?
It delivers uniform scratch patterns that are fast and easy to polish, refined consistency, and durable abrasive life.
Which tools are recommended for use with Iridium SR? Works best with Mirka cordless sanders—such as the AOS-B and AROS-B series—for precise control during spot repairs and finishing.
Is Iridium SR suitable for wet sanding?
Iridium SR is designed for dry sanding. However, you can use the Mirka Finessing Damper to apply a controlled, minimal amount of liquid. This helps reduce splash and keeps the abrasive clean—but does not make it compatible with traditional wet sanding methods.
Which industries or trades benefit from this product?
Vehicle and transport manufacturing (quality control and surface finishing)
Composite fabricators (e.g., marine or aerospace applications)
How should Iridium SR fit into a finishing workflow?
To get a flawless finish, dry sand, clean the surface, then polish using a water-based compound (e.g., Polarshine or PRO Iridium 1250) and Mirka pads.
My drum sander was becoming one of my least used machines in the workshop, as the traditional sandpaper clogs and burnishes so easily, negatively affecting the finish and requiring hand sanding or super frequent paper changes. The Mirka roll is fantastic, it chews through hardwoods and even when fillers/adhesives are present it barely clogs. Highly recommend.
Absolutely stellar customer service, well above par and enjoyable as much as helpful, and the products are 10/10 - will be back again and again and again…

Mirka AROS-B is a sensational sander that will save untold time and effort!
I spend hours on manually sanding the curves in the depressions I route in my charcuterie boards as there's just no other way to do it, using the AROS-B sander I can now do a full board in around 20 minutes and then have it ready to oil! I estimate it's saving me at least 3-4 hours per board.
Expensive tool but it reall works fantastic with a lot of grunt, and saves an incredible amount of time and effort! I love it so much a week later I bought the AOS-B as well!
Couldn't recommend this unique sander highly enough for fiddly awkward sanding jobs!
I received my mixed box of 125mm Mirka Galaxy discs from Best Abrasives a little while ago...that stuff is amazing!
I let the 80 grit go on a piece of rough sawn Camphor Laurel and it was smooth in a couple of minutes. Very impressive compared to other brands...I'll be back for more! 🙂

The best hand sander I have ever used, very comfortable in the hand, very flat and plenty of holes for vacuum dust removal.
