The Mirka Roundy is a purpose-built ergonomic hand sanding block engineered for efficient, dust-controlled manual sanding across a wide range of surface preparation tasks — from aggressive paint stripping to fine lacquer and paint sanding.
Designed to sit comfortably in the palm, the Roundy delivers excellent control and even pressure distribution, reducing operator fatigue during extended use. Its rounded profile allows sanding discs to wrap smoothly around the sides of the block, enabling improved access to corners, edges, and tight or contoured areas that are difficult to reach with standard flat blocks.
Equipped with 34 integrated dust extraction holes, the Roundy ensures optimal airflow and effective dust capture when connected to a compatible dust extraction system. It is fully compatible with Abranet® net abrasives as well as standard 150 mm 15-hole discs, offering flexibility across abrasive systems without compromising performance.
Two interchangeable vacuum hose plug adapters are included, allowing quick and secure connection to most dust extractors for a cleaner, safer working environment and improved abrasive longevity.

Mirka AROS-B is a sensational sander that will save untold time and effort!
I spend hours on manually sanding the curves in the depressions I route in my charcuterie boards as there's just no other way to do it, using the AROS-B sander I can now do a full board in around 20 minutes and then have it ready to oil! I estimate it's saving me at least 3-4 hours per board.
Expensive tool but it reall works fantastic with a lot of grunt, and saves an incredible amount of time and effort! I love it so much a week later I bought the AOS-B as well!
Couldn't recommend this unique sander highly enough for fiddly awkward sanding jobs!
I received my mixed box of 125mm Mirka Galaxy discs from Best Abrasives a little while ago...that stuff is amazing!
I let the 80 grit go on a piece of rough sawn Camphor Laurel and it was smooth in a couple of minutes. Very impressive compared to other brands...I'll be back for more! 🙂

Mirka Abranet Ace Ceramic sanding discs
I was rather impressed with ceramic discs in my orbital sander that I used, to sand down the river table I am making. I started with 40 grit and finished with a 1000grit. I was surprised how quickly the discs cut the timber and the epoxy resin and the discs lasted very well too. Superb finish, very happy. I will be using these discs again.

Naturally we’d like them to last longer, but we get between 250 - 350 square metres out of a pad generally… they make it easier to control your machine as it isn’t as hard on the walls. We trialled it for a bit and now it’s the standard for us to continue to use them…
